What happens at our center?
An initial consultation with yourself and your superhero is held with us. During this consultation we will decide which tests are needed.
If a superhero is currently on medication for ADHD, they continue with that and the action plan takes their current medication into account. Patients are only to be weaned from scripted medication under guidance of a medical doctor. If parents of a superhero feels the need to stop the medication, a referral can be made.
Several tests are considered. Integrative Medicine focuses on the unique makeup of the individual, so there is no gold standard of tests.
Tests that might be considered include:
- Food intolerance
- Heavy metal testing
- Intracellular mineral testing
- Genetic testing
- Live Blood Analysis
If needed, superheroes will be referred to a specialist physician or registered dietician for more in-depth analysis.
An action plan is suggested and put into place. Although there will be commonalities between superheroes, each plan will be tailor made for the individual.
The action plan usually includes:
- Lifestyle management
- Nutrition advice
- Supplementation
- Therapy
- Detoxification plan
Depending on the action plan, superheroes might attend the Hero Academy once a week for coaching as well as placement of auricular therapy seeds and magnets.
Results
Results are usually visible between six and twelve weeks from the commencement of therapy.
Some people have reported results within the first month of therapy starting.
Costing
Because of the individualized approach that we take to treating ADHD, we cannot give a blanket costing. We are very aware that cost is a factor that everyone has to take into account these days, so we try and work around what we can do with an allocated budget.
